Colton Harris-Moore aka "the barefoot burglar" is an 18-year-old who is suspected of at almost 100 burglaries in the islands near Seattle, Washington, Idaho and Canada. The 6' 5" teen has been on the run since he fled a juvenile detention center in April of 2008. Harris-Moore has been living in the woods, eluding authorities and gaining a cult following. Police are baffled at how he manages to escape capture over and over again. According to police, there is plenty of evidence linking Harris-Moore to thefts including fingerprints, DNA and even surveillance tape; the problem is, he's hard to catch. Colton Harris Moore was born to Pam Kohler in Camano, Washington on March 22, 1991. At the age of two, his father left. His mother remarried and his stepfather died when he was about 7 years old. His mother said by the first grade, there was "sort of a disconnection" and he wouldn't cooperate with his teachers, would instigate fights and brake things in the house. However, his mom said that police sometimes accused the boy of things he didn't do. For example, she claims she bought him a $300 bike for his birthday and the sheriff's deputy claimed he stole it. He was first convicted of being in possession of stolen property at the age of 12.
